I was sure glad to recieve your few lines today cause it sure makes a fellow feel good to get a few lines from some of the folks even tho they only say hello and good by for it signifies that they still think of us boys in the Armed Forces. Boy I sure wish I could have been there when you played ball in the cow pasture cause I imagined it was fun compared to marching or swabbing decks all day long and then do your washing in the evenings when their is a lovely moon out and it makes a fellow want to talk LOVE; oh!!What am I saying. Boy the fellows really get wild up here when they don't get to see a toure(?) for three or four weeks and get a few beers under their belt. Beer is all we can buy here in Idaho or Washington. I don't drink or smoke yet and I know I won't start either. Yes I like the Navy pretty well cause it has the civilian life beat all to Hell. I've been serving chow here for the last week or so and I've been eating so much that I'm getting fat. Well I have to close for now so please write again soon.
